Noodler's Nib Creaper Piston Fountain Pen - Green Bay Demonstrator
Noodler's Nib Creaper Piston Fountain Pen - Green Bay Demonstrator is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Noodler's Ink is a small American company run by Nathan Tardif in Southern Massachusetts, USA. The name Noodler's comes from a technique of catching catfish by hand. Noodling involves wading into the water and feeling around for small crevasses and catching the catfish who have backed themselves inside by holding onto the outside edges of their open mouth.
Nathan says it is the ultimate battle between man and beast and your bank balance and social standing have no bearing on your ability. The catfish can be seen on all the ink bottles and packaging.
The Noodler's Nib Creaper Piston fountain pen features a fine/ medium width flex nib giving a good amount of line variation with varying pressures. It is piston fill only, so filled from bottled ink. A relatively slim and lightweight pen, the Nib Creaper has a polished steel metal trim and precise screw cap.
We are told this pen is good to use for Pitman's Shorthand and have sold lots to people to use for this purpose. It has a closed length of 132mm, 137mm posted and a battel (and nib) length of 117mm. It weighs 12g and has an ink capacity of 0.7ml.
We suggest thoroughly flushing out the pen before use with luke warm (possibly with a tiny drop of washing detergent, but not soapy) water to remove any residual production process dust or lubricant oil from the nib feed to ensure a smooth ink flow.
N.B - This is for one pen. Two pens are pictured so you can see it capped and posted.
Noodler's Nib Creaper pens no longer come in a gift box.
