Visconti Homo Sapiens Lava Fountain Pen - Bronze Age
The excellent, and unique, Visconti Homo Sapiens Fountain pen is a true grail pen with a great specification and flair.
The barrel and lid are made of a hybrid of lava from Mount Etna and resin, combined to give a very robust material which is virtually unbreakable, heat resistant and slightly hygroscopic too - so it will absorbs a little moisture from your hands.
The new models have a 18c gold nib which is plated to give a rose gold colour to match the bronze metal trim. N.B The older models came with a 'Dreamtouch' palladium nib.
The lid has a unique bayonet-type fitting and sprung pocket clip.
The ink mechanism is a vacuum filler, so it can only be filled from a bottle and has a huge ink capacity to boot!
