Pure Pens Ink - Castell Coch

The Pure Pens Ink range was first launched in February 2018. The idea behind the ink was to provide a high-quality series to customers, which was affordable, and also told a bit about the company in the process.

With Pure Pens a proud Welsh company, developing Celtic-themed inks seemed entirely befitting. Many of the inks tend to sit in between other ink producers' main colours, giving fountain pen fans another unique palette to add to their collection.

Our Castell Coch pink ink pays homage to the iconic, much-loved South Wales landmark perched high above the M4 motorway near Cardiff. The 19th century gothic revival castle's name directly translates to 'Red Castle', owing to its red sandstone construction. Today though, it exudes a gentle pink hue.

Castell Coch has long been known as the Fairytale Castle because of its evocative architecture and design. And of course, it was the setting for two of our own- Jenet and Ross- tying the knot, although not at the same time!

It comes bottled in a retro-shaped 60ml glass bottle, which is hand-filled, hand-labelled and hand-sealed!
