Caran d'Ache 849 Ball Pen
Caran d'Ache 849 Ball Pen - Sapphire Blue is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Caran d'Ache was established in Geneva in 1924 and is Switzerland's only pen and pencil maker, located close to the French border just outside Geneva. Their origins hail from founder Arnold Schweitzer's purchase of the Ecridor Pencil Factory in 1915. They are today known for their stationery and luxury goods, including wallets and cufflinks.
The traditional 849 ball pen from Caran d'Ache boasts a slim, hexagonal profile aluminium barrel with a silent push mechanism and strong pocket clip. Its metallic barrel contrasts with the clip and click button, while a 'Swiss Made' stamp of quality emblazons the area north of the clip.
It comes fitted with a smooth oil-based (rather than gel) medium ball pen insert in blue. It takes Caran d'Ache 'Goliath' refills, which come in black, blue, red or green. The 'Goliath' should write for up to 600 pages or 10 times as long as a Bic ball pen!
